The Linear is the 'forth child' of designer Jen Keates.
Her career path has always been creative working in both fashion & graphic design, and has always had a love of art and creating from childhood. 

For Jen there was, and is, a strong and sensuous lure of brush, pen, pencil, canvas and paper. A personal truth that was eventually realised with the creation of her art.

The Linear's work is inspired largely by the female form, exploring relationships
& deeper connections with others, and ones self.

The female is celebrated through expressive and abstract styling. The abstraction in each piece allows the female form to speak for itself and creates a sense of curiosity in each story without objectification. The expressive strokes of the natural form represent empowerment, and colours evoke feelings, sentiments of life.
